I'm a bioinformatician at the University of New South Wales, where I use bioruby and ruby.

In my spare time, I'm currently working on:

  • Adding improvements to heckle, a mutation tester for ruby. (Mutation testing evaluates unit tests by changing the code under test, and see if the unit tests detect the change. It's unrelated to biology)
  • Analyzing the "Get to Philosophy" phenomenon in Wikipedia
  • Parsing some wildlife observation data
