&lt;div&gt;We ran a session looking at topics that we thought should fit in to a computer science / software engineering degree, particularly looking at timeless topics, and those that would provide foundations for future generations of engineers.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We plotted the suggested topics on a 2-axis chart&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* from low abstraction (hardware, assembly language etc) to high abstraction (process, systems thinking, thinking about learning, etc)&lt;br /&gt;
* from core (for everyone) to nice (interesting and useful, but not for everyone)&lt;br /&gt;
