Since 2006 CITCON, the Continuous Integration and Testing Conference, has provided an open space forum for developers, QA/testers, ops and others to share problems and solutions on a wide array of subjects, including emerging technologies and practices that drive continuous improvement across the tech industry. In 2026 we are using the name CITCON:AI to reflect that integrating AI into the development process is the most pressing new challenge in how we design, build, test, deploy, and operate systems. The format and intent remain the same as ever: honest conversations, shared learning, and ideas you can take back to work.

In 2006 the live question in the agile software community was how developers could take more ownership of the quality of their code, and what impact that would have on the relationships of developers with testers, ops people, and each other. In the past 20 years we've developed many tools, techniques, and cultural norms for all these humans to work together effectively. The introduction of AI teammates has raised all these questions anew. We're excited for CITCON:AI to play a role in pioneering the new answers.

What makes CITCON:AI different from a standard conference is the Open Space format. There are no pre-set presentation tracks. Instead, you and the other attendees propose sessions and vote for what you care about. The result is you get the discussions that matter most, with experienced practitioners from the local community and beyond.

Attendance is limited to 150 delegates on a first-come, first-served basis, so register quickly.

A successful CITCON:AI Helsinki 2026 takes a lot of planning, preparation and organization. To make this possible the Open Information Foundation seeks to include many volunteers. They will work together with the global organizing committee. If you are interested send mail to volunteer@citconf.com with your offer to help.
