The name Nile results from a Greek word Neilos meaning valley, the river Nile is he longest river within the world whose source is seen to Jinja Uganda. It is a great river of Northeast Africa that begins its journey in well watered regions at the equator and then flow north word through the dreadful Sahara desert before emptying inside Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The river is 6695 km (4184 miles) long. The river flows through a total of nine countries although it's most associated to Uganda and Egypt. The other countries include Ethiopia, Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Sudan.
